Harrods: Privacy Issue - Website bug

Since my bad experience with Harrod's website over the holidays, I decided to opt out of their email distribution list. I followed their instructions, but behold, yet another bug.

The Harrod's website does not allow one to deselect the check boxes to opt-out of mailings.

Of course I emailed Harrod's support and received a general reply.

I really wish they would hire a web programmer that knows what they are doing.
There are so many qualified individuals in the UK right now that are out of work that KNOW how to correctly implement back end web development.
